KANCHANPUR, DEC 22 - The Maiti Nepal, Mahendranagar, has rescued a woman, who was sold in India, and brought her to Mahendranagar.

The Maiti Nepal had rescued the woman from Noida, India, with support of Maiti India.

Coordinator of Maiti Nepal, Mahendranagar, Maheshwori Bhatta, said that an acquaintance had taken her to India, saying he would re-unite with her husband and sold the woman at Noida.

Husband of the woman is at Himanchal province in course of employment.

The Maiti Nepal had carried out search for the woman after her relatives requested Maiti Nepal to carry out search for her.

The woman is now under the protection of the Maiti Nepal, Mahendranagar.
